What ArticleWebsite keeps about you, and why

This page lists what the marketplace stores about you, in the order you would meet it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we hold

When you create an account we keep your sign-in details and the email address you used. Keep your password to yourself.

Orders add more. For each placement we keep the target URL, the keyword, the content mode you chose, the donor, the price, the date and the status. Your balance history and any invoice or proforma invoice requests are kept for the same reason: you will want them in an audit.

What we do not hold

Top-ups are made from the dashboard and recorded as balance movements.

We do not read your site's analytics, and we do not ask for access to Search Console or your hosting. A page you want a link to only needs its public address.

Why we use it

Orders must be delivered, balances must add up, and abuse must be stopped. That covers nearly everything. We may also use anonymous counts of visits to see which guides help.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your order list to build ad profiles.

Who else touches it

Donor sites receive the article we publish for your order, which contains your target link and anchor text. That is public by nature once the placement goes live.

Providers see little. Service providers that host our servers or process payments see only the minimum they need to do that job, and we share nothing else about your account.

Publishers

If you list your own site for sale of placements, we also keep the site address, the price you set and the approval decisions you make, plus the details needed for weekly payouts.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a small preferences cookie for the budget estimator on the page. The estimator itself runs in your browser and sends nothing to us.

How long we keep it

Orders stay on record. Account and order data stays while your account is open, because balance history and delivered placements belong to the same account record.

Server logs are used for security and debugging.

Your choices

You can ask to see what we hold, correct it, or close the account. Send the request from your account once you are signed in.

Closing an account does not remove a live placement from a donor site, since that article belongs to the donor's page. Ask us before you close if that matters.

Changes and contact

If we change this page in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for account holders, tell you in the dashboard. Questions go through your account.
